A transported product is carried by the bands which are usually of the circle cross-section (hollow or full) and are moved on the pulleys. The number of the bands depends on the width and the weight of the transported product. The conveyors can be constructed as direct or arc-shaped from 0 to 180°, horizontal or rising, according to the requirements of the customer. The arcs have angle speed of all bands constant in order to prevent rotation of the products during the transport. Therefore there are metal sheet sides on the edges of the conveyor. Chain conveyors are suitable for a food and a wooden industry.
